Australian of Kurdish, Italian background, he spent most of his adolescent years in Rome, where he pursued higher education and worked as a freelance artist.
Over the course of 11 years, he studied at three different schools of art — graduating with honors from each — while also working as a freelance artist and illustrator for the weekly supplement of The Daily American News.
He was later commissioned by the UNEDI Encyclopedia as head of the Art & Graphic Design department, and subsequently served as Art Director for MARSHED International until 1990, when he relocated to Australia.

High Diploma with honors: Institute of Fine Arts Baghdad.
Majored in Arts — BA. Academy of Fine Art, Rome.
Art History. Soc Sci & Philosophy - Independent Studies/Open University.
From 1999 he worked in different fields including Media & Graphic Design and where until 2010 he was employment with SAS media and Leone Group. as Senior Creative Director.
